How We Are Responding to COVID-19

Since the outbreak of COVID-19, we have employed a number of measures recommended by the NYS Department of Health (DOH) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to best protect the health and safety of our staff and residents:

  • Suspension of visitation: For the safety of our residents and staff all visitations are suspended at this time. On July 10th, the Governor’s office released updated guidance on the existing Nursing Home Visitation Policy. Please see our specific facility website links below for further information.
  • Wearing a face mask: All healthcare personnel and other facility staff shall wear a face mask and gloves while within six feet of residents and one another.
  • Limitation of non-emergency offsite appointments: Non-emergency offsite appointments shall be canceled in order to prevent unnecessary potential for exposure.
  • Health check/screening: All individuals are screened upon entrance to the facility by answering designated questions on the Accushield kiosk and a physical temperature check. Any adverse response or temperature reading will be addressed accordingly.

Allure Group’s Visitation Rules

Ensuring our residents are cared for in a safe and healthy environment is our number one priority. As of March 12th, we are restricting visitor access to our facilities until further notice.

We understand that certain situations may warrant an exception to this rule and we will do whatever we can to accommodate such exceptions without jeopardizing the health and safety of yourself and others.

Families still have the opportunity to connect with their loved ones. To learn more, please see How to Connect With Your Loved One, below.

How Can I Help?

First and foremost, do everything you can to keep yourself and others safe and healthy. Follow social distancing guidelines, clean your hands often, and stay home if it all possible — especially if you are sick.

Otherwise, spread some kindness! Cards, notes, or some heartfelt words of appreciation are always welcomed to help brighten our residents’ and staff’s days.
